A new logo design has been created by Logo Geek for start-up company ‘Proofread My English’, who specialise in proofreading documents for international students.
The new start-up business aim to become the number 1 proofreading company for international students. To stand above its competition, the company will be the only of its type who give advice and feedback to help the student learn from his mistakes. This USP was something I was keen to promote as part of its identity.
The Final Logo Design
The final agreed logo design, presented on the right is confident and professional yet remains approachable – being fun, friendly and personal.
The icon represents a rotational document, passed back and forth directly between the proof reader, and student, which can also represent international travel. The transparency of each document represents the high level of honesty and communication, to help and support the writer. The shape also makes up an eye, which looks over to proof read the document, whilst also representing a smile and sad face (positive and negative) relevant to the type of service offered.
The client was extremely happy with the final results:
“I’m glad that I chose Ian Paget to design the logo for my business. Since publishing the logo on my website and on social network accounts, I have been receiving much positive feedback about it. I provided Ian with a lot of information about my business and what I wanted from the logo; with this information he produced three designs, all of which were worth considering, and one of which didn’t require too much revision before it was ready for use. I’m confident that if you choose Ian, and provide the information like I did, he will be able to do the same for you. Ian was very helpful during all stages of the project, providing much useful information about the industry and some different versions of the final logo (e.g. versions without the slogan, and a ‘letterbox’ version).”
